Occupying a large building in Montreal, this organization is currently looking for a maintenance planner who will coordinate the various maintenance work in addition to monitoring the various projects affecting heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical installations, systems or equipment. In addition, this person will see to the proper functioning of the equipment related to his or her trade.
This position is for a period of 6 months.
Specific tasks
-In collaboration with the chief electrician, the chief mechanic and the maintenance plumber, plan preventive, corrective and predictive work on the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and verify that the work has been carried out with the team leaders and the maintenance plumber.
-In collaboration with the employees of the technical services, participate in the development and optimization of the preventive maintenance program relating to mechanical, electrical, plumbing or other equipment: distribution of tasks and their frequency, evaluation of the workload for each task, establishment of a maintenance schedule, etc.
-Ensure the optimization of the lockout program and confined spaces relating to mechanical, electrical, plumbing or other equipment. In the absence of his/her supervisor, act as a sponsor for the confined space program and issue confined space entry permits when required.
-When commissioning new equipment, make sure to check the end-of-project documentation received and integrate this new equipment into the equipment maintenance program.
-Participate in the development of maintenance and repair projects, from design to commissioning.
-Coordinate with the project managers any intervention of internal teams on ongoing projects.
-Assist the supervisor in monitoring the completion of maintenance and repair work (elevators, cafeteria equipment, chillers, boilers, electrical substations, etc.): in the smooth running of work and meetings, in the coordination of various stakeholders and in meeting pre-established deadlines.
-In collaboration with his/her superior, the chief electrician, the chief mechanic and the maintenance plumber, request quotes and follow up on orders for parts related to maintenance work to ensure that they are available for maintenance work and corrective work.
-Collaborate in updating the technical information of the maintenance management system: e.g.: equipment, supplier information, maintenance schedule, etc.
-Participate in the implementation and monitoring of performance indicators in his/her sector of activity.
-Solve problematic situations; When possible, anticipate difficulties and propose solutions.
-Ensure that the planned work complies with safety and environmental standards.
-Participate in the development, determination, revision and documentation of technical standards, policies, methods and procedures for his/her sector of activity, including maintenance manuals for the various electromechanical systems.
-Submit any file requiring attention to his/her superior and perform any other task at the request of the latter or required by his/her duties.
Desired profile
-College diploma in a physical domain.
-Minimum of six years of relevant experience.
